Wedding Photography at The Gherkin, London

Last month our wedding photography took us to The Gherkin in the City of London. Jenny and Andy’s wedding ceremony took place on the 39th floor of the Gherkin, which meant some spectacular 360 degree views of London for the guests – and of course, some great photographic opportunities. The reception and dancing is up a level under the glass dome – and the lights really do lend themselves to a magical atmosphere. We are looking forward to seeing the couple again soon for the viewing of the whole set of photographs.

London Wedding Photography – One Great George Street

One Great George Street in central London is an elegant, and in many ways, spectacular, venue (and almost paradise for creative wedding photographers!); so we had great pleasure in photographing Shareen and Tim’s wedding there in late July. Despite Shareen arriving 40 minutes late (not her fault!), the couple had a fantastic day. It was great to see everyone entertained by the singing waiters in action again.

London Wedding Photography – Kensington Roof Gardens

Last month we travelled into London for a new interesting venue for Sarah and Anthony’s wedding – Kensington Roof Gardens. One of Sir Richard Branson’s ‘portfolio of unique treats’, it is based around 3 themed areas one hundred feet about Kensington High Street! Within it’s locational context, the gardens are amazing; and we also persuaded the restaurant and bar managers to let us some time in their space – to add more variety to the photos.

Narin and Izzet, 12 February 2011

Narin and Izzet enjoyed a lively Turkish wedding in Whetstone, London earlier this month. The wedding preparations were based at Hanbury Manor – and we managed to take advantage of the daylight by squeezing in some couple shots at the Manor house before the ceremony started late in the afternoon. We hope they enjoy their honeymoon.

Jodie and Sean – London Wedding Photography

Jodie and Sean’s day was our first wedding of the new year and also our first Jewish wedding. The ceremony was at Bevis Marks Synagogue and the reception at Vinopolis. Since the ceremony itself was not due to start until 3:30pm, the couple agreed to do their couple shots beforehand to ensure that we good natural light and time to play with. So we visited the Leadenhall Market and Tower Bridge area – and got some fantastic shots. Jodie and Sean were a great couple to work with and we are looking forward to showing them the full set of images.

London Wedding Photography – Painted Hall, Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich

This week it was Claire and Andy’s wedding at the Painted Hall, Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich. Actually, that only tells part of the story: we started at Clapham for Claire’s bridal preps, then moved quickly to St Lukes Church in Chelsea. And later a boat trip down the Thames to Greenwich. With a good dose of heavy rain and a lost coach for good measure! A challenging day for us, but ultimately a very successful one. We were delighted that Claire and Andy had such a fantastic day and are looking forward to seeing them after their honeymoon.

London Wedding Photography – Syon House, Brentford

Alexis and Nick, 6 August. So it was our first wedding shoot at Syon Park – part-time residence of the Duke of Northumberland. Fantastic architecture and parkland. Alexis and Nick were a fantastic couple to work with and we were delighted to see them enjoy such a great day.

Kiren and Fin’s venue – One Whitehall Place in central London – had the most amazing staircase I had ever photographed. They had a fantastic day and we are looking forward to seeing them again after their honeymoon.

Maria and Anastasi at the Landmark Hotel – London Wedding Photography

My big first Greek wedding….Anastasi and Maria’s at St Sophia’s and the Landmark Hotel on 20 September. Loved the warm atmosphere of the whole thing (particularly at Maria’s home) and the dancing – but it was a longer day than we are used to!

Rebecca and Andrew at the Bingham Hotel

Rebecca and Andrew’s wedding took place on 19 July 2008 at the Bingham Hotel, Richmond, Surrey. The hotel has a lovely setting next to the Thames. The couple really enjoy their photography – and we achieved some stunning results.
